This ministry, based on principles in 2 Corinthians 9:6-15 and 10:15-16, has been a powerful means for local churches to increase their missionary giving.   Led by Robert and Margaret Mundy, Faith Promise Ministries works in conjunction with church missionary conferences.   During the conferences, church members are encouraged to fill out Faith Promise cards with the amounts they'll give toward missions over the next year.

The results have been amazing.  A church of 110 gave $30,216 in its Faith Promise Offering.  Another reported its monthly missions budget increased from $188 to $1,012. One large church had been $50,000 in debt before beginning Faith Promise giving; afterwards, missions giving increased dramatically, and the general fund deficit turned into a $50,000 surplus.

The benefits of Faith Promise giving go beyond money.  When churches can support more missionaries and get them to the field sooner, more people can be saved.   But also, here on the home front, church members gain new enthusiasm for missions and receive the blessing of God's remarkable provisions to meet their needs, especially when the giving is sacrificial.
